Want to use Lightning Bug on your PC or MAC?

One of our most frequent requests is to port Lightning Bug to the desktop. While we haven’t yet planned a native PC\Mac port, we do have some great news! A great new application called BlueStacks just went into a public alpha today that will let Windows users run Android and their Android apps on any device running Windows! Check it out:

BlueStacks is only available for Windows as of now, but Mac support is coming soon. And better yet, we’ve tested Lighting Bug on BlueStacks and it works great! You may have to use BlueStack’s ‘Zoom’ feature to get Lightning Bug working 100% (once you have BlueStacks installed watch the tutorial video which covers the Zoom feature), but otherwise we didn’t see any issues.

Have at it!

This is so exciting! Thanks for the link and the app. It is down loading now and I can’t wait to try it out and give an official review, but from the preview I think this is exactly what I have been waiting for =)

Wow. Thanks for this. The demo video looks beyond cool… But as a registered user, would this mean we’d have to repurchase your app for Windows as well?

No, you shouldn’t have to repurchase anything. BlueStacks has a Sync feature which allows you to sync anything you already have installed on your phone with your PC, including pay apps. Check out their documentation!
