FAQ
Q: When I try launching Lightning Bug, I get an “Activity Not Found” error. What gives?
A: If you’re trying to launch Lightning Bug via a launch icon you created on your device’s desktop, please try removing the launch icon (long press, then drag to the trash can), then re-create the launch icon. If this doesn’t work tho, email our support address. click here for more info on this bug

Q: Why is Lightning Bug running in the background?
A: Lightning Bug has two modes. Standard and Advanced. If you select Advanced mode it will allow the scenes and sounds to play in the background while you do other things on your phone. If you use the alarm feature, then you will also see Lightning Bug from time to time “running” in the background. The only reason you may see this is that the application is checking to ensure the alarm goes off on time and wakes you up! As of version 1.0.13 we created a feature called Alarm Sync. This allow you to control how Lightning Bug runs on your phone! Please read the post on 1.0.13 for more details! If you are running older versions (pre 1.0.13) then in order for Lightning Bug’s alarm to function correctly, Android must occasionally call a small, low-cost routine in Lightning Bug’s alarm code. click here for more info

Q: How do I make the sounds louder?
A: Long press each sound and then a volume control menu will open.

Q: How do I set the application to turn off after I am asleep?
A: In the settings menu, make use of the Sleep Timer feature.

Q: How do I turn off the screen but keep the sounds?
A: In the settings menu, make use of the screen timeout feature. If you find that this is not working for you, it may be that your model of phone requires use of Advanced Mode.

Q: How do I report an issue?
A: The best way to contact us is to send an email to our support address. We have to warn you that it is extremely challenging to troubleshoot issues due to the sheer number of Android phones and versions that are out there.
